Definitions

Operator – the company Tira, s.r.o., which enters into a contractual relationship through the accommodation “Pillow House Tatras” or “Pillow House Montibus”.

Client – a person who orders the accommodation at “Pillow House Tatras” or “Pillow House Montibus” and has the right to be accommodated there based on a contractual relationship.

Reservation – an act by the Client expressing their will to order the accommodation at “Pillow House Tatras” or “Pillow House Montibus” and enter into a contract with the operator (hereinafter referred to as “Reservation”).

Accommodation Contract – a contractual relationship between the Operator and the Client, in which the subject matter is temporary accommodation for an agreed period, concluded in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Contract”).

1 Introductory Provisions

1.1. These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “GTC”) apply to the reservations of accommodation services provided by the Operator (hereinafter referred to as “Accommodation”), payment and cancellation conditions for reservations, as well as all other rights and obligations arising from the legal relationship established by the reservation.

1.2. The Client is entitled to make a reservation only if they agree with the GTC. The Client is advised, for their own benefit, to familiarize themselves with these GTC before making a reservation. When using the reservation repeatedly, the Client is obligated to always familiarize themselves with the current version of the GTC. The Operator reserves the right to unilaterally change these GTC, with changes becoming effective on the day they are published on the Operator’s website. If the Client disagrees with any provision of these GTC, the Operator requests that they refrain from making a reservation. By confirming the reservation, the Client expresses unconditional acceptance of these GTC.

1.3. The Client declares that they have reached at least 18 years of age and are capable of acquiring rights and assuming obligations in their own name.

2 Reservation

2.1. A binding reservation is created after all required information is provided, payment is made within the specified deadline based on the invoice sent according to these GTC, and the information is verified.

2.2. A contractual relationship between the Operator and the Client arises:

• upon payment of the deposit or the full accommodation fee;

• by signing the contract;

• by confirming the document “Order”, “Deposit Invoice”, “Invoice-Tax Document” (in writing or via email);

• by the commencement of accommodation services;

• by the Client checking in for the stay.

3 Payment Terms

3.1. The Client is required to pay the full amount for the stay at the time of booking by paying the invoice. By confirming the reservation, the Client gives consent to the Operator to process the full payment for the reserved stay and authorizes the Operator to execute this payment. The total price of the stay is immediately credited to the Operator’s bank account.

3.2. The Operator’s actions are based on ethical principles and respect for the Client’s privacy.

4 Cancellation Conditions

4.1. Any changes to the reservation by the Client can be made electronically via the Operator’s email or by phone. The changes must be confirmed by the Operator in writing or by email. If the Client requests a change to an existing reservation that cannot be fulfilled due to capacity or other operational reasons, the Operator will take all steps to accommodate the Client’s request, but is not obligated to comply with the request.

4.2. In the event of the Client’s withdrawal from the Contract and cancellation of the reservation, or in the event of partial withdrawal from the Contract and partial cancellation of the reservation, or if the Client fails to check in for the reserved stay, the Operator is entitled to a cancellation fee of 100% of the price of the ordered and confirmed services as follows:

• Off-season – 14 days before the check-in date.

• High season, Christmas, Easter, New Year’s Eve – 30 days before the check-in date.

Off-season dates: March 19 – June 14, September 21 – November 30.

High season dates: January 6 – March 18, June 15 – September 20, December 1 – December 23.

Christmas: December 24 – December 27.

New Year’s Eve: December 28 – January 5.

Easter: According to the calendar.

4.3. In extraordinary cases (illness, death, natural disaster, etc.), the Operator may waive the cancellation fee based on credible evidence of the Client’s reason for cancellation or partial cancellation.

4.4. If the Client cancels the reservation or partially cancels it, the Operator will send a written or email notification to the Client within 14 days regarding the Operator’s entitlement to the cancellation fee and its amount in accordance with these GTC. By confirming the reservation, the Client acknowledges that the Operator is entitled to offset the Client’s claim for a refund of the paid stay amount against the Operator’s claim for the cancellation fee. The Operator will refund any amount exceeding the cancellation fee to the Client within 30 business days. The Client is responsible for any bank fees associated with the refund.

5 Special Provisions

5.1. In case of any uncertainties or questions regarding the reservation, the Client is entitled to contact the Operator’s reservation department by phone or email.

5.2. Check-in is possible on the day of the stay according to the reservation from 3:00 PM. Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM on the last day of the stay. If this is not done within the set time without an additional agreement, the Operator may charge the Client for an additional day.

5.3. Before checking in, the Client is required to pay a deposit of €200 for Pillow House Tatras, €250 for Pillow House Montibus, by bank transfer 14 days before arrival. This deposit serves as a refundable security deposit in case of any damage during the stay. If no damage occurs, the full deposit will be refunded after the final cleaning and inspection of the accommodation.

5.4. If the Client has any special requests (e.g., baby crib, late check-in or check-out, or reservations for additional services), they may contact the Operator by phone or email.

6 Data Protection

Privacy Protection

6.1. The Operator, Tira, s.r.o., Starohorského 4083, 031 01 Liptovský Mikuláš, Company Registration No. 36 659 215, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the District Court in Žilina, Section Sro, Insert No. 19186/L (hereinafter referred to as “Tira, s.r.o.”), processes personal data in accordance with the legal regulations of the Slovak Republic, particularly in accordance with Act No. 122/2013 Coll. on Personal Data Protection, as amended by Act No. 84/2014 Coll. (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”).

6.2. The Operator, Tira, s.r.o., processes personal data of clients for the purpose of reservations, the sale of services, and the control of their use in the Operator’s accommodations. Personal data is processed for the duration necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing—reservation, sale of services, and control of their use—up to a maximum of two years from the collection of such data. Personal data processed for these purposes is handled in accordance with § 10(3)(b) of the Act without the need for the client’s consent.

6.3. The Operator, Tira, s.r.o., adheres to high ethical standards and respects the privacy of its clients. Except as required by law, the Operator will not provide or disclose any personal data to third parties or recipients without the Client’s consent.

7 Other Provisions

7.1. The Operator is not responsible for items brought into the premises reserved for accommodation or storage by the Client. The Client is required to check the proper locking of the property when leaving.

7.2. The Operator is not responsible for the vehicles of clients parked in designated or non-designated areas.

7.3. In the rooms and throughout the property, clients may not move furniture or appliances, make modifications, or interfere with electrical or other installations without permission.

7.4. Before leaving the accommodation, the Client is required to turn off the water faucets, lights, and all appliances, and to lock the doors.

7.5. The Client is responsible for any damage caused to the property or furnishings of the accommodation (the refundable deposit of €200 for Pillow House Tatras, €250 for Pillow House Montibus). In the event of significant damage, the Client agrees to pay for any additional damages incurred during the stay.

7.6. The Operator is not liable for injuries during events or programs of any kind, nor for any harm to health, including death.

7.7. Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire property.

7.8. For safety reasons, it is not advisable to leave children under 10 years of age unattended in rooms or other communal areas.

7.9. Clients are strictly prohibited from using the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Clients with cardiovascular or other health conditions, in which sauna use could worsen their health or endanger

7.10. The Client is not authorized to accommodate animals in the property.

8 Final Provisions

8.1. These Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) and the legal relationships arising from them are governed by the legal system of the Slovak Republic.

8.2. If any provision of these T&Cs becomes invalid, ineffective, or unenforceable, such invalidity, ineffectiveness, or unenforceability does not affect the validity and effectiveness of the remaining provisions of these T&Cs.

8.3. By confirming the reservation, the Client expresses their agreement with these T&Cs and commits to adhering to them. The Operator reserves the right to amend these T&Cs. The obligation to notify changes to the T&Cs is fulfilled by publishing the updated T&Cs on the Operator’s website at www.pillowhouse.sk.

Tradičná architektúra

Rázovité obce predstavujú architektúru roľníkov a remeselníkov v rôznych historických obdobiach Slovenska. Vo vnútri domčekov sa zachovalo autentické zariadenie: nábytok, domáce potreby, pracovné náradie. Na Slovensku sa nachádzajú múzea – skanzeny. Najznámejší z nich je Múzeum liptovskej ľudovej architektúry v Pribyline, rázovité dediny Vlkolínec a Čičmany.

Historické pamiatky

Aktívnemu odpočinku sa venuje veľká pozornosť. Sem patria športové výlety, lyžovanie, horské bicyklovanie, golf, tenis, rafting, paintball, karting, strelnice a iné.
Prekrásne, zaujímavé a nezabudnuteľné turistické výlety počas všetkých ročných období a podľa želania zákazníka: Vysoké Tatry, Slovenský raj, Demänovská dolina, Prosiecka dolina, Kvačianska dolina, Štrbské Pleso, Jasná – Chopok, Donovaly.

Jaskyne

Slovensko je lákavou krajinou pre milovníkov speleológie. V krajine je 44 jaskýň, ktoré sú vyhlásené za národné prírodné pamiatky. Najznámejšie sú: Demänovská jaskyňa Slobody, Ľadová jaskyňa v Demänovskej doline, Stanišovská jaskyňa v Liptovskom Jáne, Domnica.
Pre milovníkov prechádzok rozprávkovými podzemnými katakombami jaskýň sa uskutočňujú prehliadky. V niektorých prebiehajú hodiny speleoterapie.

Aquaparky

Návšteva aquaparkov, spa, rekreačných a kozmetických stredísk.
Slovensko je známe svojimi prírodnými geotermálnymi zdrojmi, ktoré majú liečivé a rehabilitačné účinky pre ľudský organizmus. Na mieste viacerých zdrojov už niekoľko storočí fungujú kúpeľné domy a za posledné roky boli dobudované termálne kúpaliska a aquaparky pre návštevníkov a hostí kúpeľných domov. Každý návštevník môže pocítiť na sebe rehabilitačnú silu slovenských termálnych vôd.
